D. E. Shaw Research (DESRES) is seeking exceptionally talented individuals with strong academic and professional track records to join our New York Citybased team as Business Operations Assistants. Were looking for self-motivated individuals with meticulous attention to detail, outstanding communications skills, and exceptional organizational abilities, who excel at independent work, problem solving, and multitasking. Candidates should have experience directly managing IT procurement, especially with respect to software licensing and vendor relationships.
In this role, individuals will lead contract and vendor management efforts, collaborate with legal, technical, and business development teams, and support operational efforts across the organization. Ideal candidates will have one to three years of relevant work experience in a software procurement environment, specifically in contract management, project management, or a cross-functional operations role.
DESRES, based in New York City, develops and uses advanced computational technologies to understand the behavior of biologically and pharmaceutically significant molecules at an atomic level of detail, and to design precisely targeted, highly selective drugs for the treatment of various diseases.

The expected annual base salary for this position is $115,000$150,000. Our compensation package also includes variable compensation in the form of sign-on and year-end bonuses, and generous benefits, including relocation and immigration assistance.
