As a Business Analyst II - Revenue Accounting , reporting into the Director of Accounting - Revenue, you will build analyses that help Rioters make sound decisions. You’ll collaborate with Rioters from an array of other disciplines (Game teams, Insights, Payments, Data, etc.) to conduct studies and analyses related to player activity that will inform the accounting for our products. You will work with the Accounting team to run SQL queries over large datasets, analyze results and help automate processes through various automation tools. Your work ensures Riot's offices and partners around the world are optimized for strength and speed -- financial and otherwise.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, validate, and maintain high value reports, analytics tools, and creation of tableau reports used by the revenue accounting team.
  • Transform and analyze complex data sets to understand player behavior around monetization.
  • Critically review reports and data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update existing automation projects using UiPath, Python or other tools.
  • Partner with other disciplines and Finance teams to level up our analyses.
  • Operate with a consultative approach, managing multiple stakeholder expectations simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with revenue team on upcoming revenue initiatives.
  • Handle multiple projects and ad hoc requests. Communicate status and deadlines effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries on large datasets.
  • 3+ years of experience using Python for data analysis and workflow automation.
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Databricks and Spark.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and building reports using Excel.
  • Experience in data reconciliation, validation, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with automating manual processes with Python.
  • Experience translating Accounting and Finance business questions into analysis and dashboards.
  • Good time management skills and ability to complete projects with less oversight.
  • Pro-active with the ability to positively cope with change.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP standards.
  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Experience in building and managing data pipelines.

  • (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $116,800.00 - $163,600.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
