Objective Manages all facets of Maintenance operations. Manages special project(s) related to process improvement for the department and facility. Sets a good example through proactive management. This position reports to the Director or General Manager of Brewery Operations.

Essential Responsibilities - Maintain all quality standards set for maintenance operations at CANarchy facilities.
- Keep brewery equipment running to its full potential with a minimum amount of downtime.
- Manage the installation, repair, and upkeep of various brewery equipment.
- Schedule and prioritize preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
- Ensure contractors working at the brewery are doing so in accordance to CANarchy safety requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor and maintain all brewery systems including brewhouse and cellar equipment, canning and bottling lines, keg washers and fillers, pumps, motors, chillers, boilers, gas lines, air compressors, equipment controls, malt delivery, etc.
- Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Organize maintenance area and maintain inventory of spare parts.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Operate independently without supervision.
- Lead by example and use time wisely.
- Actively lead a team of Maintenance Operators and Technicians as required.
- Understand and adhere to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Proper use of Personal Protection Equipment.
- Log information immediately and accurately.
- Engage in improvement projects coordinated through the General Manager or Director of Brewing Operations.
- Communicates effectively and timely using either email, phone, text or verbal tools.
Additional Responsibilities - Perform facility related duties as required or assigned. (See attached facility rider).
- Knowledge of mechanical, welding, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fabrication skills as related to brewery equipment operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, plumbing, process piping systems, automated equipment, fluid dynamics, high-speed packaging equipment, plant utility systems, steam, compressed air systems.
- Communicate effectively across departments.
- Demonstrate reliability and responsible decision making.
- Support all departments when situations warrant and make connections between processes.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of proper and safe operation.
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to work well at a fast pace in high pressure situations.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical & Mental Requirements Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently to lift 50lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 160 lbs. pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls. May be required to work overnight shifts.
