Job Description

SNELLING is currently seeking a Bookkeeper for a client in the Tyler area. This position will be responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, billing, and analyzing/generating reports. They pay rate for this position will be $18 - 20 / HR or more depending on experience.

This Bookkeeper position will be temp-to-hire, meaning that while SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for a probationary period upon an offer being accepted.

QUALIFICATIONS

3 plus years of bookkeeping experience
3 plus years of QuickBooks or other accounting software experience
Knowledge of GAAP
Ability to effectively present information to appropriate personnel
The ability to adapt to and perform a variety of tasks independent of direct supervision
Ability to follow directions and have excellent written and oral communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of weekly and bi-monthly payroll
Accounts payable
Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
Preparation of monthly reports and journal entries
New vendor setup and maintenance
New hire setup and maintenance
General ledger maintenance
