Bookkeeper Location: Remote (with 1-2 in-office days per month in Jacksonville / Atlantic Beach, FL) Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000+ (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Job Summary: You will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and general accounting duties, including ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks experience and can work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. While this role is remote, in-person availability is required 1-2 times per month in Jacksonville / Atlantic Beach, FL. Key Responsibilities: Handle full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions Post transactions accurately to the general ledger Manage debt and credit entries and perform journal postings Complete monthly reconciliations and support month-end close Maintain up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc projects Protect sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality Communicate clearly with leadership and collaborate as needed Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting Solid understanding of accounting principles and ledger management Proficient in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Professional, discreet, and able to work independently Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset About the Company: Our client is a privately held, holding company based in the Jacksonville, FL area.
