About the Opportunity
Eatons ES GEIS CHD division is hiring a Boiler Operator to join its Syracuse-based team. In this critical maintenance role, you'll operate and maintain complex powerhouse systems including high-pressure boilers, steam stations, and compressed air systems.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in industrial facilities, especially those who enjoy troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components.
What Youll Do
Operate, install, and repair high-pressure steam boilers, air compressors, and associated equipment
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on pumps, motors, and power generation systems
Troubleshoot both analog and digital control systems
Conduct chemical tests to ensure boiler performance and safety
Read and interpret electrical/plumbing diagrams and mechanical blueprints
Use hand tools, pipe fitting equipment, torches, and soldering tools as required
Maintain energy management systems, including time schedule entry and updates
Repair and replace piping systems carrying steam, water, gas, compressed air, and oil
What You Bring
3+ years of experience with steam boilers, air compressors, motors, pumps, electrical equipment, and pressurized piping
Proficiency in reading schematics and mechanical blueprints
U.S. work authorization required
Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
5+ years in a powerhouse technician role
Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair skills
