\n\nOverview:\nThe Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse with clinical guidance from a clinically licensed behavioral health professional (BCBA, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Therapist). Direct patient care generally includes maintaining the safety of patients and others; the direct observation of patients; the implementation of individualized behavior plans; data collection and entry; and ongoing communication within a collaborative, interdisciplinary, healthcare team. Most patients will be under 18 years old with complex behavioral and mental health needs, frequently with comorbid medical illnesses.
