An A/B+ level skilled technician. We are looking for an all around technician. Diagnostics, timing belt changes, tune-ups, coolant services(radiators, water pumps, etc.), A/C work(compressors, condensers, etc.). Suspension diagnostics and replacement including Struts/Shocks, Control Arms, Ball Joints, Alignments. Diesel knowledge is a plus. We do not rebuild Engines or Transmissions. We do have an expectation if we get overrun that you would perform an oil change or small job to help catch up. We have a fun atmosphere to work in, and we work together, so if you are not good working with others, you are not the fit. You must have the necessary tools for most jobs, and we do have a plethora of tools the shop uses also. We subscribe to Alldata, Identifix, Iatn and have computers in each bay. Your bay has two lifts, one 4 post lift(18k) and one 12k 2 post lift. We stay steady busy and will keep you busy. Must have valid somewhat clean NC Drivers License. We pay holidays and also paid time off. We have a simple IRA plan. We require a minimum 90 day temporary work period to make sure you are happy with us and we are happy with you. My grandfather began our business in 1964. I started as an auto technician in 1995, and began running the front end of the business in 2008. I purchased the business from my father in 2018. We pay our technicians salary, not flat rate. We do not upsell our customers or give an incentive to sell services that are not needed. We make an honest living and we treat our customers and our employees with respect. We have a family vibe, we take care of each other and work together. We have 7 bays at the shop, and 4 full time technicians, a delivery driver who also helps out in many other ways, along with two shop managers. Our shop is heated in the winter, and we have cooling fans (with water hook ups) for the summer. Our longest tenured employee was with us for 40 years. My grandfather hired him, and he worked for my father, and then myself. One shop manager I have known since 3rd grade, and the other for 17 years. We were taught to take care of the customer and make sure they return. We do what it takes to make people happy. We are good at it. We are open Mon-Friday from 8 to 5 and technicians leave at 4:30. We believe in having time with our families and getting away when needed. We believe in hard work when we are there and doing the job right the first time.
