Job Title: Athletic Trainer – Education & Training Specialist

What You’ll Do

This isn’t your traditional athletic training job. You’ll take your expertise and use it to coach, teach, and empower others to deliver exceptional care.

Training & Development

• Lead in-person and on-camera clinical and non-clinical trainings for front-line staff and new hires
• Develop, script, and demonstrate procedures in video tutorials and how-to modules
• Partner with medical managers to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to understand
• Train on equipment, ergonomic best practices, and safety procedures in real-world settings
• Reinforce brand-aligned communication and patient engagement skills in every training

Instructional Content Creation

• Collaborate with our education and marketing teams to produce visual training materials
• Help translate policies and protocols into easy-to-follow tools (checklists, posters, videos, etc.)
• Identify areas of confusion or inconsistency and proactively design solutions

Ongoing Staff Support

• Provide refreshers, follow-ups, and re-training based on staff performance and needs
• Assist with onboarding new team members and setting them up for success

• Serve as a go-to resource when questions arise

What You Bring

Credentials & Education

• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with a degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field
• BOC certification and state license (or eligible to obtain in Michigan)
• BLS certification required

Experience

• Accepting new graduates
• Experience teaching or coaching others in a healthcare or wellness environment preferred
• Strong understanding of anatomy, mobility, and physical performance techniques

Skills

• Excellent communicator with a talent for simplifying complex processes
• Confident on camera and in front of groups—your coaching energy shines
• Organized and proactive—you don’t just follow checklists, you improve them
• Comfortable using EMRs, video tools, and training platforms
