We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to help lead our team in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, extensive experience in hospitality, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. This role requires the ability to manage a busy restaurant environment, oversee front-of-house operations, and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage front-of-house staff, providing training, feedback, and performance coaching to maintain high service levels, and foster a positive and professional work environment.
  • Staff Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times while optimizing labor costs.
  • Reservation Management: Oversee and maintain the reservation system, ensuring accurate and efficient bookings and table allocations.
  • Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring a superior guest experience.
  • Operational Oversight: Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the check-in area and dining area, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Financial Acumen: Comfortable managing budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses.
  • Financial Oversight: Support the General Manager with financial management, including budgeting, cost control, inventory control, and ensuring profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Handle on-the-spot challenges with efficiency and professionalism, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Performance Management: Assist General Manager with evaluating staff performance, providing feedback, and implementing processes to enhance team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience, ideally in a high-volume, upscale, fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in reservation management systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional, top-tier guest service and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
