Modest is a Hylink Company super humble, world-class, larger-than-life creative company, chock-full of amazing people who like to make unbelievably cool things. But you know, modestly. It was founded by Ryan Gerber (Our CCO) in 2024 to create Modest things on a global scale. That's right we got all the letters covered (APAC, LATAM, US, EMEA) and we've got the type of modest talent that you can only scope on a global scale to do the type of cool things we wanna do. And we really like to make thoses cool things whenever we get the opportunity to. In every medium, even the ones that don't exist yet (yes, we know this is kind of ambitious). So let's make some modest headlines. Together.
Responsibilities:
- Think about and make stuff.
- Work in an extremely diverse team to collaborate, engage and create
- Be able to think outside boxes and to execute across platforms
- Should be able to make things yourself, but also work with other team members and external partners and vendors to bring larger ideas to life
- Attention to detail and good grasp of craft as it relates to visual design and bringing ideas to life. A solid design foundation is important.
- Work with our parent company Hylink Group and it's subsidiaries to support some of their efforts.
- Create outstanding and award-winning work through great ideas, impeccable craft and an a base level understanding of connecting to people using storytelling and thoughtful design.
- Ability to conceptualize art directions from a variety of cultures, sources, and perspectives based on a creative ways-in or ideation session as part of a larger creative group.
- Ability to storytell your art direction and design directions in a client-facing capacity.
- It's a flat structure so you will directly report to the Creative Director, but interface with the CCO on a daily basis.
- Work with Interactive Art, Designers, and Web teams to adapt key visuals into multiple digital channels, animations, and formats.
- Ability to create print with a strong sense of layout, color and typography.
- Some Video Editing, Shooting and Motion Graphics experience
- Ability to ideate and to write a little.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in design or Film & TV or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in advertising agencies, creative or marketing consulting
- Management experience of a staff
- Illustration based or Digital Design based experience
- Skilled at using Adobe CS including Photoshop, Illustrator
- After Effects and video knowledge a plus, particularly Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Davinci Resolve.
- Very strong ability to work in Adobe CS
- Strong grasp of current creative technology like AI, Figma, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some knowledge and experience in designing websites and apps.
- Art Direction experience in advertising and marketing
- Be able to make a deck to present to clients
- Have won/familiar with Tier 1 & Tier 2 awards.
- Balanced team player dedicated to client service.
- Strong presentation and problem solving skills.
- Proven track record of developing agency partners and successfully driving new and direct client business opportunities.
- Extensive local vendor network, especially in the producing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop fresh and effective ideas.
- Want and need to make cool things
