The Appraisal Coordinator II is responsible for supporting all aspects of the single family and commercial appraisal order process. In coordination with technical appraisal staff, this includes screening appraisal order requests for completeness and accuracy, identifying appraisal SOW, coordinating the assignment bidding process, information collection and due date management, plus other duties as needed. Work will be transacted in a fast-paced environment requiring a high-degree of accountability and attention to detail. 

 

Principal Duties:

  • Works with loan originations team and loan processors to ensure that all required documents are received and reviewed for accuracy so that the appraisal is ordered/processed in a timely manner.
  • Engage and coordinate 3rd party vendors for single family and commercial appraisals, evaluations, property profiles, environmental, PCA and other 3rd party reports.
  • Perform valuation review screening for low risk single family property types/loans, with escalation to technical valuation staff as needed.
  • Manage document and information flow between appraisers, internal valuations staff, loan processors, loan originators and underwriters.
  • Monitoring of vendor performance to help support a high level of service and quality. 
  • Support updates and management of loan pipeline in relation to valuation inputs.
  • Ensure all relevant information is updated within both the loan operating system and appraisal management system. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ relevant experience, specifically in due diligence and transaction in mortgage loans, preferably mortgage or banking related industry.
  • Prior appraisal experience a plus. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience operating within appraisal management systems. 
  • A true self-starter capable of accomplishing complicated tasks with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with exceptional follow-through abilities.
  • Strong business acumen.
