Billing experience within service firm industry is required.

Location : Phoenix, AZ 85004 hybrid. After 90 days, may work 1 day per week at home.

Start date – ASAP No time off first 90 days (unless you are sick)

Pay Rate $22/hr. to $25/hr., with room to grow. 40 hours per week.

Hours 8AM – 5PM

Dress Code: business casual.

Job description:

• Will do legal hours billing and Accounts Payable
• Responsible for the billing for a group of attorneys. 
• Resolve issues or irregularities, get clarifications, meet the specific requirements of the individual attorneys or their clients or how the bill should be laid out and what it should include. 
• Small projects weekly involving billing, database upkeep, data entry, reports. 
• Back up the other Accounting Clerks, answering questions for lawyers not in your territory, and covering them when they are on PTO. 
• Accounts Payable – about 20 invoices to process per week. Reviewing the invoices for vital info, checking the approval $ limits, gaining necessary approvals, data entry into the system, coding to the correct accounts, filing.
• Expense Processing: Review, audit, contact the attorneys for omissions or errors, complete the report of what needs to be paid, and submit by deadline. 

Requirements

• BILLING EXPERIENCE with a: law firm or other professional service firm (such as a CPA firm or architecture or engineering firm) billing dept job
• Able to keep all information Confidential.
• Trust-worthy to collaborate with and support your team, and the attorneys.
• Professional and polite friendly demeanor.
• HS Diploma or GED
• Must have your own computer to use at home.
