Clayton Services is searching for an  Accounting Assistant to join a thriving company in North Houston.

• Performs routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for the accounting department, including accounts payable, billing, and receivables
• Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy, alerts supervisory staff of discrepancies
• Assist with year-end audit preparation - pulling invoices, making copies, and scanning invoices for auditor
• May assist with mail distribution, answering phones, and other clerical duties

Accounting Assistant Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Computer proficiency
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• QuickBooks Desktop proficiency

Accounting Assistant Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Associate or bachelor is preferred.
• Previous accounting experience is required.
• QuickBooks Desktop experience is required.
