Job Description

Our client is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide expert psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and consultation to clients, families, and staff. This role also involves collaborating with community physicians and offering clinical oversight to multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in psychiatric principles and a demonstrated ability to implement effective interventions in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Position Purpose:

• Deliver psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Provide consultation to community physicians on the psychiatric conditions of their patients.
• Offer clinical supervision to the organization’s multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of human behavior, psychopathology, and diagnostic categories.
• Conduct initial psychiatric diagnoses and assessments in a variety of settings.
• Manage medication and provide other treatment interventions to clients.
• Collaborate with medical professionals on psychiatric care for their patients.

Must Have's:

• Current license to practice medicine in the State of Indiana.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry.
• Positive references from past professors or supervisors.

Physical Demands:

• Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and assisting with physical patient management during emergencies.

Work Environment:

• Some travel to local sites may be required, as well as the potential for evening and weekend hours.
