SYNOPSIS
The Road to Kosovo was traveled by six American college students in a documentary chronicling the struggle of an ethnic Albanian family during the 1999/2000 Kosovar conflict. From a Kosovar Albanian point of view, we learn of the refugees harrowing exodus from Kosovo and the process of reclamation that they must go through when they return home to find that their once familiar society has become livable only under constant military occupation. Throughout this documentary, you'll discover how the foreigners in their own land. Documented on a very human level, this crisis hits home with its viewers.

BIOS
Student filmmaker James Saldana has produced and participated in several independently f aughters of Abraham (Palestinian West-Bank, Israel) [Best Documentary - Angelus Awards], Our Road To Kosovo (Albania and Yugoslavia) [Best Documentary Finalist - Angelus Awards], Protective Force (Macedonia) [TV News Broadcast], and Glue Gun (Zimbabwe).

In addition, his interest in the plight of indigenous people and spiritualism drew me to the mountains of Peru to participate in the making of Despacho. A film about the ancient art of shamanism.

His latest project took him to Baghdad to film the occupation of Iraq, tentatively named Iraqi Drive-By (series of film shorts).
