SYNOPSIS
In May 2003, a refrigerated truck carrying more than 80 undocumented immigrants from the Mexican border drove into the heartland of Texas with horrifying results.

BIOS
CARY FUKUNAGA graduated with a degree in history from the University of California Santa Cruz and L'Institut d'Ètudes Politiques (IEP) de Grenoble. He has traveled extensively through Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America, where he studied and photographed the aftermath of neo-colonialism. He began crewing on music videos and commercials in Los Angeles four years ago and is now completing an M.F.A. in Directing at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Besides Victoria Para Chino, he directed the short, Kofi (2003), Winner Best Short, Bronx Independent Film Festival. He often works as a Director/DP on commercials and music videos while collaborating with a strong circle of talented friends. Contact: (310) 266-2180
PATRICIO SERNA was born in Monterrey, Mexico. He earned a BA in arts in Monterrey and an MA in film documentary in Barcelona, Spain. He attended the graduate film program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. His film credits as director, producer and writer include the documentary Goatsucker (1999), selected for the New York International Latino Film Festival; the animated Clamato (2001), Bailen 58 (2002), Tromba D'Oro (2003), selected for the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and awarded best Latin American short at the Sao Paulo Short Film Festival in Brazil and Mating Call (2004) awarded best international short by Canal + at the Cinemajove Film Festival in Spain. He has also worked in music videos and commercials as director, producer, and cameraperson.

RODRIGO GUARDIOLA Z was born in Mexico D.F. He studied communication sciences in Monterrey Mexico, film studies at EICTV Cuba and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies NYU. Director/Producer of more than a dozen music videos for international record companies as well as combining a music career as a drummer for a Mexican alt-rock indie band Vaquero. He has worked in short films as a Director, RA-DIOS, and as a cameraman for international projects such as Tromba D’ Oro and Sueño.
