Rumbleseat is an animated short film based on the music of The Sadies set in a world created by animator and director Mike Roberts. Based on classic westerns and rockabilly culture, the film centers around a young man who finds himself in the back of a hot rod occupied by four sinister ghouls. From the Rumbleseat of their car, he journeys through moments of his life and realizes he must make peace with what he's left behind and find insight as to what has led him to this strange world.

Michael Roberts is a Toronto native Animator, Designer, Illustrator and Director. He has created commercial animation for clients like Honda, Ford and Kellogg's, as well as film and television animation for ABC/Disney, Soapnet, HBO Documentary Films, Decode Entertainment, The Juggernaut Productions, and directors like Ron Mann and Doug Block. He's just finished production of his animated short film entitled "Rumbleseat." Before Mike struck out on his own he served as animator and designer at CORE Digital Pictures, creative director and 10plus1 Interactive, and Animation Director at The Juggernaut Productions.

Catherine Tait: Executive Producer

Catherine Tait is a veteran of the independent film and television industries in Canada and the US. She began her career in cultural policy in the federal government, at Telefilm Canada and as Canada's Cultural Attache to France. She then ran the Independent Feature Project in New York for 6 years, overseeing during her tenure, the creation of the Gotham Awards, the No Borders co-production market, Script to Screen and many other programs to promote American independent film talent. After the IFP, Tait became President and Chief Operating Officer of Salter Street Films, a television production and distribution company that she took public on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 1997. Tait was responsible for Salter Street's successful bid for digital broadcasting licenses including the Independent Film Channel Canada, and oversaw the sale of the company to Alliance Atlantis Communications in 2001. Programs produced during Tait's tenure include Michael Moore's THE AWFUL TRUTH and BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE, LEXX (SciFi Channel), and THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES (CBC).
